%X This paper intents to bring a method of 3D mapping to geographic studies. Aiming to help in the processes of building knowledge at geographic issues, the present paper tries to cover the lack between what the teacher says at classes and what the students comprehend, offering a graphical and interactive way to teach and learn about the environment. Florianópolis is the capital of the State of Santa Catarina, located in the south region of Brazil. The city is based over a crystalline base. The geological region is well known as sierras of the east of Santa Catarina, or serras do leste catarinense. Thats where the Geography graduation course is based, more specific, at the University of the State of Santa Catarina UDESC. At the same hydrographic basin a rocky outcrop was chosen to be mapped. Using accessible hardware to capture pictures of the environment, following the simple method of the close range photogrammetry and then using an equally accessible computer to process data through 3D modelling software, it is shown here how to produce an uncomplicated model of the local geology. The final accomplishment is to upload the model to a free host site to be accessed by anyone, anywhere, using personal computers, tablets and smartphones, at classes or at home.
